With a fashion & marketing degree from East London University and over 20 years experience in fashion, marketing and business, Amy Silberzahn has been involved in the fashion industry since age 15. Her CV includes employment with Nicole Farhi, The Clothes Show Live, London Fashion Week, various PR and marketing agencies, The Mail on Sunday and The British Fashion Council. After graduation, Amy launched her own clothing & accessory label, which she ran for 6 years in trendy Shoreditch, East London, before moving to Frankfurt, Germany in 2010.
The London Assembly (tLA) has a unique collection of pieces for all occasions: From the boardroom to the bar, for a date, a wedding or a relaxed weekend. This carefully curated selection includes not only women’s wear, accessories and jewellery – recently, a charming kids corner was added with clothing, toys and gifts. All the designs are selected for there flattering cut, eye for detail and original design ethic. Amy Silberzahn focuses on buying from designers who understand the lifestyle of today’s modern women – offering quality, style and value for money for both themselves and their children.
tLA is more than a boutique: Successful collaborations have been forged with local businesses: Over the past year, tLA have co-hosted a ‘Fashion Afternoon Tea’ at Villa Kennedy, beauty events in association with The Steigenberger Hotel ‘Frankfurter Hof’, varied networking events for Jones Lang LaSalle and the Frankfurt Women’s Mentoring Group as well as in-store wine tastings, chocolate tastings and workshops with Young Living Essential Oils.
Since March 2015, tLA have been co-hosting interactive children’s afternoons and ‘Mum and Baby Mornings’ with consultants from British brands, Barefoot Books, Usborne Children’s Books and Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic Skincare.
As Amy Silberzahn envisaged, The London Assembly is fast becoming a “destination boutique” known for quality, style and originality, where all sorts of exciting things are known to be occurring. With mny exciting events in the diary for Summer 2015, the events programme continues to go from strength to strength.
Europe’s high-street fashion has become increasingly bland with little imagination and variation. In Frankfurt specifically, Amy saw a clear gap in the market for good quality garments from independent designers. The customer who is looking for original designs, attention to detail and an ethical ethos will love the tLA selection.
The tLA Boutique Concept has been in development since Amy successfully completed her dissertation following her BAhons Fashion Design and Marketing degree. The boutique in Frankfurt opened its doors on October 7th, 2013.
